Per Meredith Renard's note, the source of the wedding between Otto and Sarah was incorrectly located at Allouez in Michigan, quite a distance from Suamico! Corrected to Allouez in Green Bay

Also, from the Martin Pagel Family Book (pg12), for the wedding of Ella Pagel (Otto's sister, the 10th child of Martin and Charlotte) & William Wright (Sarah's brother) they had asked Otto & Sarah to be their marriage witnesses…this was the reason that the 2 couples were married in the same place on the same day

Otto and wife Sarah Ann made their home with Martin and Charlotte Pagel in Suamico and continued living there after Martin and Charlotte died.

Arrival11 May 1868He arrived in the US at at Arrival in the Port of New York (prior to 1892 when Ellis Island opened)G+ in New York City, New York Metropolitan Area, New York, United States (North America)G+, on or around on 11 May 1868 an actual Immigration event may not be present. Otto crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the 1st time as a baby aged 1 with his family (parents Martin Pagel & Charlotte, half-sister Amelia--the child of Martin's 1st wife, Margaret--and eight brothers and sisters), departing from the Port of Bremenhaven, Germany on Monday, April 6th, 1868 in the German ship, SS Carl

They landed 5 weeks later on Monday, May 11th 1868 in the port of New York City, and were processed through the equivalent of Ellis Island, which was not operating until 1892

Also, see the Arrival note in Martin (the father) for more details
