Navigation of Don’s Family Tree links |
First, clicking "
Home" on the menu (top-left) takes you to the main page of my Family Tree data
Next, clicking "
Pedigree-Chart" opens a chart showing my tree—use "generations" to change the view? You can also open anyone’s chart by clicking the Pedigree Link (shown in a box) at their page
The left side of the displayed page shows the selected person’s immediate family (each clickable):
siblings above / spouses (shown as “?” if living) & children below…
The page has clickable boxes for parents/grandparents/etc (blue: fathers, pink: mothers); a profile is displayed when clicking any of the names shown; clicking the arrow or box icons (to the right of any box) will move you up the person's chart
A profile page from above, or in the links from the
“
Ancestors”
or
“
Descendants"
shows several links (only partial if the person is living)…
- Family Explorer (a clickable 3-generation chart), the Person & possibly References;
- Parents (where applicable), the "Pedigree Link" (opens the chart shared above) & Family details;
- An image of the person (where available) & possibly additional snaps using "camera" icons;
- Biography, some with "G" icons (a location), "+" icons (info), links (arrow icons) or PDF links;
Each individual has various events (10’s of thousands across the tree) that are scattered
across time and places throughout the world (shown
here alphabetically) all including
the Continental areas, the geographical coordinates and key local areas
- Finally, a list of the Citations (small numbers) that are used by the person's page
Clicking the "
Ancestors" link on the menu displays the list of all of my direct
family Ancestors, starting with my sister-in-law, AK Yang & going
waaay back into the past (scroll down to the bottom of the page) to the Biblical entity of God…
Clicking "
Descendants" shows a list of everyone in my tree,
starting at “The Most Ancient of the Actual Ancient People," who is the furthest-back real person—clicking the name shares Biblical entities
Clicking on any person in either of these lists will take you to their profile page, as described above
Clicking "
Surnames" shares an A-Z name list that starts with unknown surnames ("?");
clicking a letter will list the people—click anyone to view their profile page, as described above
The names of everyone in my tree are also listed
here
(with my
colour coding),
each person showing their relevant data
To view a person from the list, copy the name shown (up to the “-” at the ID number), paste it into the "
Search" page with the name (up to the comma) into the Surname field and the name (after the comma) into the First & Middle Name(s);
if the surname is not known (using "(” and “)” around the name) copy the name+parens to the First & Middle Name(s), the year of birth to the Birth Year and the year of death (if available) to the Death Year…
click search to then show the person(s) and click the name to visit
The list of people is followed after the last person "Zywicki, Marcin" by an index of Names, starting on page 2438—download the PDF as needed to view?
The index has clickable links to the person in the PDF to view their event details—accented Surnames are after the 2nd "Zywicki" and is followed by the (clickable) list of who used each Place, starting on page 2630; page #’s may change!
Clicking "
Sources" will show an enumerated list of the sources in my tree over several pages; some of the embedded links in the sources (from the auto-generation) are unavoidably sadly stale…
Clicking "
Search" allows you to locate different people in the tree;
enter appropriate data into the fields, click the Search button & review the results?
