James is also on Dorothy George's 15-Nov-1910 Christchurch marriage certificate as a "retired pork butcher."
Jane's note suggest that "after his hunting accident around 1896, he spent many years in hospital in Bath to try and aid his recovery but rheumatoid arthritis set in and there was no cure. He spent some time back in Swanage whilst his daughter was growing up but moved to Court Grange in Somerset to live with the Dence family later." |
