On Oct. 6, 1337, Thomas de Courtney, who died 36th of Edward III, 1363, having done fealty, he and Muriel received their pourparity of her father's lands, and on March 3, 1338, received pourparity of the knights' fees

In 1349, on the death of her aunt Margaret, late wife of Nicholas de Moels, Muriel received her share of the dower lands

When her father died in 1337, his lordship's estates passed to his daughters, and Muriel, Lady Courtney, had as her share the manor of Kuys Creswell, with the hundred of Haytone, County Devon; the Manor of Stoke Moels, in County Oxford, with 100 shillings rent out of the manor of Langford, also in Devon

They had one son, Hugh, who died sine prole, and two daughters, Margaret, who married Thomas Peverel and Muriel de Courtney married Sir John Dynham

(She is called Joane in one reference, but Burke and Edmondson call her Muriel.)
