Note		According to Burke's gathering, "Sir Thomas Carrington married Margaret, daughter of Sir Robert Roos, and was father of John Carrington, who in the beginning of the reign of Richard II was forced to expatriate himself, and after residing sometime abroad, to assume for security the very general surname of Smyth" Perhaps a common occurrence?
