Note | | [ observed by Don ] Ms. Elizabeth does have reported parents (Cook) on FamilySearch (see note below), but am not confident of her surname; it's possible that Woodhouse is a spouse. Online searches do not add value, so have marked her as EOT
-and-
[ sourced from notes on FamilySearch ] Sources on FamilySearch suggest that her maiden name was Sarah Elizabeth Charles (or Cook), born 1603 in Norwich, Norfolk, England; possibly a daughter of John Charles 1585-1573-[ the FamilySearch author ] cannot verify this
Numerous on-line records on William Backhouse all reference his children (Sarah, Mary, William, Lydia and Stephen) to have been born in England, and their mother as being Elizabeth; she was his first wife who died on February 9, 1643 in Sheffield, England
William immigrated to Connecticut as a widower with his five children and married Ann Fenton in Connecticut. Ann was the widow of Thomas Bingham
