Note		Was advised by Heather (a paternal 2nd cousin who is a descendant of William Mossman) late Feb 2023 that there are two different people of this name, same DOB, causing much conflicting confusion: The Mossmans have proven to be a real headache, trying to find the correct ancestors and backing it up with DNA matches to cousins who have had the test With regard to Thomas Edward Mossman 1863-1916, I have him married to Rebecca Easton. I have DNA matches with the Eastons, in fact with John Easton, my 4th great grandfather I have 4 matches. I have no direct match to Rebecca Easton although I am sure it is correct The same with Eliza Hodges, my 2nd great grandmother, who I have married to William Mossman. I have DNA matches to Edward Hodges, her father and William Hodges, my 4th great grandfather Sadly, no DNA matches to the Mossmans directly Here is what I have documented for William Mossman, my 2nd great grandfather which makes sense as the other* William died in Australia. William Mossman 5 Mar 1839, Peckham, London, England. Died 17 Mar 1894 Sumner Road, Camberwell, London, England. Married to Eliza Hodges, 1834-1918. They had 5 children: Sarah Mossman 1861-1926 Thomas Edward Mossman 1863-1916 Lydia Rebecca Mossman 1864-1880 William Mossman 1866- Eliza Ann Mossman 1868-1892 These children listed are not to be confused with the children of the other William Mossman 1839-1911 who was married to Eliza Venteman 1835-1922. I have a profile for him, his parents were Samuel Mossman 1807-1847 and Elizabeth Green 1809-1868. I have him as a 2nd cousin 4x removed…They had 5 daughters. All in Australia.

In one of Paul's letters [to her] he enclosed this lovely letter from his grandfather's sister, Queenie: I was so pleased to hear that there is a family Bible and that it is still being passed down through the generations. If our side of the family ever had one, it is long gone but it is never too late to start one again Queenie?s niece, Jennifer, is a teacher I see. There have been many teachers in the family and still seem to be on Paul?s side and mine One in particular is Dora, who was the daughter of Elisabeth and Albert Hensley Shave. She taught in the village of Winterbourne Whitchurch and remained a spinster. She is remembered by a few locals even now.
