Scaeldea (mythical vision of him as a baby) Gossen_i_båten [in People]

The engraving shows a child floating asleep on a small boat which also has a sheaf, a spear, a shield and a helmet

The lower left corner has "W. Meyer X.A. LBH SC" suggesting that the engraving was created at W. Meyers xylografiska anstalt, an engraving company owned by Wilhelm Meyer (1844-1944), and that the engraver was L. B. Hansen. The lower right corner has a signature, no doubt that of the original artist. The image is described as "Gossen i båten, Scéaf (Njord)", i.e. "The boy in the boat, Scéaf (Njord)" where F. Sander's Edda identifies the Anglo-Saxon figure Scéaf with the Old Norse figure Njörðr

The image is to be found on page 39 of Fredrik Sander's 1893 edition of the Poetic Edda:
"Edda Sämund den vises: skaldeverk af fornnordiska myt-och hjältesånger om de götiska eller germaniska folkens gamla gudatro, sagominnen och vandringar / öfversättning från isländskan af Fredrik Sander; med bilder af nordiska konstnärer. Stockholm, Norstedt."

(Haukur Þorgeirsson) took a picture of that page with a handheld camera
