She m.2 Sir. John Kyme. [Vicissitudes of Families, Vol. II, p.369] 1469-1507
In 1474 Edward concluded a marriage alliance with James III of Scotland, betrothing the 5-year-old Cecily to James' heir, the future James IV, then one year old. However, in 1475 Edward sealed the Treaty of Picquigny between England and France, isolating Scotland, and the cooling of Anglo-Scots relations which followed forestalled the marriage. Cecily was betrothed to James III's rival, Alexander Stewart, 3rd Duke of Albany, in1482, but this marriage also failed to materialize when the English withdrew their support from Albany later thanT year. With her mother, Elizabeth Woodville, she took sanctuary from Richard III in Westminster Abbey in 1483, after the arrest of her uncle, Anthony Woodville, Lord Rivers, but was surrendered to the king in 1484
She won Henry VII's favour after his accession in 1485. That same year she married John, Viscount Welles, and five years after his death in 1499, she married Thomas Kyme
