Troy is now no longer a physical place but it most certainly existed in the past-it has been assessed to be quite close to today's city of Troia, Tevfikiye Köyü in the Intepe/Çanakkale Province of Turkey
Troy was an ancient Grecian city situated in the far northwest of the region known in late Classical antiquity as "Asia Minor;" and is more recently known as "Anatolia," which is in modern Turkey, near to the southwest mouth of the Dardanelles strait (just to the south) and northwest of Mount Ida
The present-day location is known as "Hisarlik"
