Discovery of a baptismal fact (for Alfred Sampson Shave) shared the location as "Wesley-Methodist Chapel"… this led to the changes from St. Mary to one of either The Methodist church was closed in 1971 and sold in 1972 because of the poor condition of the church, and Church services were continued in the Parish Church. The church was originally in the Dorchester Methodist Circuit but was transferred in 1963.
