He was born at Bloomfield, on March 14, 1866
Over 50 years ago, he came to this community with his parents, who were among the pioneer farmers in this locality. My dad was very strong of character, integrity and was a good citizen, caring for others always! He was one of the most loving and gentle men, and you would not get any disagreement from others on this point. He would always said, "Kill 'em with kindness."
My husband's father was of Boston Irish descent, and by contrast would say, "Knock him to the ground and don't let him get up because he might have a knife!" Fighting for position among the many ethnic immigrants made his grandfather, one of eleven boys, tough as nails. |
