Don's (really rather old) Homepage
Hi! Thanks for visiting my older home page… |
While it's really nice that you've found your way here, visiting my more-active
Home page, my
Facebook /
LinkedIn /
Flickr accounts
or my ongoing
eDiary
news reports would alleviate the fact that threads here are "quite stale" & will likely remain so?
Enjoy, regardless! |
So… late
2011
was my last "active" update here, and are now a part of the past…
While I've continued to successfully "float down the river of life" along with some interesting events, many, many things have happened over the last few decades, shared by my (active)
eDiary,
which brings you a year-by-year view from today back to the mid 1950's.
You may enjoy viewing a collection of my images & pictures
here…
it does share many snapshots that can be viewed along with many "albums".
If you're already signed in, it'll be showing your stuff!! You'd have to sign out to view ;)
Many other pages do still exist for my website, but need special attention to view… eMail me (below) if you need? Cheers!
The Household Home
Having moved a
number of times
in my life, we built a house near Sussex, Wisconsin in the summer & fall of 2004, moving in just before Christmas… this was after "kicking that dog" about building a house for several years before this!
Finally gotten lucky enough to create something that was "all ours" — A Palace in Nirvana!!
Everything became the way we wanted
(see the gardens!)
instead of making changes to someone else's house…it was a lovely time!
After 10+ years there, we moved south to our Georgia house to be closer to our grandkids… it was sad to lose our "palace", but the place is still simply filled with remarkable memories!
A number of years ago, I spent many an hour gathering up my thoughts about "interesting stuff" & loading those thoughts into my Bio
page…it shares a bit of an historical look at my life!
After viewing my Bio, you could spend some time with my
Family Tree
report, which shares my ancestors as well as my
"Whom We Might Be"
story, and my
profile
page.
You might also visit Ancestry for my online family
tree,
which holds a virtual duplicate of my current local tree data and is growing as new branches appear…
(the link may change!)
it also shares the data in the "standard" tree view vs. my report…
[Note: Ancestry requires a sign in; eMail me if you need help?]
Happy clambering around!
A huge number of technical reference sites exist on web pages around the world… I've tucked a handful into a
collection
that I find to be interesting.
Some other sites & (perhaps) interesting informational threads are captured here in my
definitions
page; you can also take a peek at my captured
interviewing thoughts
for my eGuidance.
I also started my software development company,
Creative Logic Software
in the mid-80's, a private computer consulting business.
Around Thanksgiving 2020, I restarted my World Community Grid account on my new PC!
This allows anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet to donate their “unused” computing power cycles to advance cutting-edge scientific research on topics related to health, poverty and sustainability... along with contributions of over 650,000 individuals/460 organizations, WCG has allowed me to support more than 30 research projects to date, including searches for more effective treatments for cancer, HIV/AIDS and neglected tropical diseases; other projects: looking for low-cost water filtration systems and new materials for capturing solar energy efficiently.

And A Final Chuckle (or 2) for you…
Peek at my list of 25 thoughts, some (aging) FUN distractions, or advice on speaking English… all to help get you through your day! Enjoy!
