It was a great relief to myself & many others around the country a few years back at 3pm on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 when the counting of the votes brought Joe Biden to the front as the next President of the United States… An extremely sad day then hit in 2024 when Trump’s team brought him back to power

Just to remind us, here’s a view of the “prior joy” view of the from 2020…

As I update this page in January, 2025 am starting with a little history… The shit-storm that we now have in our every-day US lives came from the disastrous election debate with Biden/Trump at 7pm (eastern US time) on Thursday, June 27th 2024 where Biden publicly failed to display his talents as he literally shuffled onto the stage saying “Folks, how are you?” with a raspy & thin voice, his movements very stiff & physically looking very pale… Attempting to answer a mid-debate question about the economy, Biden started out talking about how the country could invest in education & social services if there were higher taxes on the wealthy but he actually lost his train of thought & glanced down at his lectern. When he looked up, he inexplicably said, “Look, we finally beat Medicare”

The Democratic party then stumbled about for a few weeks & waffled that Joe was in fact OK… On July 5th Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey called for President Biden to evaluate whether he remains Democrats' best shot to defeat former President Donald Trump, yet Biden dismissed concerns about his mental fitness & rejected calls to drop out of the election as he pushed back at detractors

A few days later George Clooney, a high-profile supporter of President Joe Biden, spoke in a New York Times op-ed that the Democratic party needed a new nominee: “We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate”

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California on July 17th called on President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 election, becoming the most prominent Democratic lawmaker to publicly push for a different presidential nominee; in a statement reported by the Los Angeles Times, Schiff said he has "serious concerns" that Biden can't beat former President Donald Trump in the November election. On the same day, Biden tested positive for COVID-19 following an event in Las Vegas; the White House press secretary Jean-Pierre said in a statement, “He is vaccinated and boosted, and he is experiencing mild symptoms.” Biden then returned to his home in Delaware to self-isolate, and after 4 days made the announcement that he would drop out of race, with Kamala Harris nominated

With 4 months of chasing after votes, she lost…

US people (estimated to be at 347.3 million, as of this writing) have about 60% voters (including 21% who are kids) making 190 million or so—76.3 million (49.8% of the total) went to Trump and 74.9 million (48.3%) to Harris, 151.4 million in total… the remaining 2% (4 million) voted for micky mouse!! The 75 million people who choose to not add their vote for various reasons are shared here; my vote for various elections has always been consistent with the US since I became a dual citizen in April of 2007—voted for England since I arrived in 1980!!

On Monday, January 20th 2025, Trump became the ogre that he had boasted about being (report) and started to swing his hammer of smashing everything he hated, signing a series of executive actions to revoke 78 of Joe Biden’s policies, ordering a crackdown on immigration and withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Agreement and World Health Organization. He also pardoned about 1,500 people charged in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, and commuted the sentences of leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who were convicted of seditious conspiracy… more is coming

The US Senate Republicans presented Trump with an opening of the “Gates of Hell” for those of us who are stunned daily by our failed national leadership… with just 6 days before the election, the most significant court in the land threw out the Scales of Justice, becoming Trumps *direct support* & setting up the highly possible fact that the election may well be decided by his new Supreme Court. With the sad loss of RBG in September, her replacement (Amy Barrett) is a relatively young & highly-biased religious woman who will during her life-time assignment (along with Brett Kavanaugh) chisel out established national things: abortion, the Affordable Care Act & others. I couldn’t sleep that night, tossing & turning about what might be our future…

Another prior update (on Saturday, July 4th, 2020 which is our Nation’s Independence Day) shared some good news from James Carville: he’ll just drop out of the upcoming election[...]please frequently tell your friends & family how you feel!
Earlier, at noon on Friday, January 20th, 2017, the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States was executed for an immature & insane madman, Donald J. Trump…

Trump’s future was in debate, with many hoping that he’ll get thrown into jail within days of this departure for all the shit he did in the last 4 years!

Trump’s thousands of consistently irrelevant & totally inconsistent twittering thoughts (particularly during the recent Senate impeachment “trial” which sadly failed to complete successfully due to “Moscow Mitch” & the Republican party) about how our daily news was “fake” & that our reliable scientists, NSA, FBI, CIA & our national miliary leaders (who dislike Trump *immensely*) apparently “can’t be trusted”… each tweet was an attempt to steer the people away from the truth.

As an historical record, the 2017 inauguration was watched in the rain by thousands of people at the show & in the streets of Washington DC, both in support of & against the ceremony. Many, many people also watched the event around the world, via various media. The "huge crowds" of supporters (from a Trump-tweet) that attended were interestingly enough far, far smaller, reported as being about 1/8th of the record-breaking 2009 crowd at President Obama's celebration… said "huge gang of bikers" (another Trump-tweet) was simply non-existent.

While I happily reported on Saturday, Jan 21st, 2017 that no-one apparently got shot, poisoned, bombed, gassed or otherwise massively distracted during the ceremony (aside from some more-violent street protesters who were actually tear-gassed, flash-banged & pepper-sprayed, & in some cases, enthusiastically hurled to the ground by the good-guys & thence dragged off to the paddy-wagons to later be charged for their so-called "offenses"), & that the long-standing political "transfer of power" was once again very successfully deployed, let me share that as a Gentleman from the United Kingdom of Great Britain who immigrated to the US many years ago, I personally stand today "holding my breath" as a frightened & almost completely powerless individual under this dreadful & horrendous transition of power away from sanity, which was all going to continue until the Congress regains some degree of control… hopefully, this would have been in late 2018 (which it wasn't)
Moving away from that swirling pit, had I been blessed in early 2018 to have had such an unbelievably awesome research team (see below) to assist with my poke-him-in-the-eye "1st 100 days" attempt, I'd have been celebrating then!
